£5,700 for a Bus Accident

Mrs G successfully received £5,700 compensation after falling on a bus she had alighted after shopping in her local department store.

Mrs G, who was 84 at the time, had boarded the bus and she was walking towards the back of the bus to find a seat. The driver set off abruptly, then breaking sharply which caused Mrs G to fall to the floor, hitting her back against a metal strip. Mrs G suffered back injuries which affected her sleep.

Phillip H Cuerden claimed negligence from the driver failing to ensure that the passengers were seated before setting off and successfully received compensation for Mrs G in July 2006.
