Lucky escape as sports car crashes into wall
JULY 28 2008
The occupants of a sports car escaped serious injury after the vehicle they were in slammed into the front wall of two houses on Tulketh Street, Southport on Monday morning.
The front end of the silver Toyota MR2 was crushed by the accident, which happened at about 8.30am.
An ambulance attended the accident scene, but there were no serious injuries, so it left without taking anyone to hospital.
The car crashed shortly after negotiating the sharp left-hand bend from Bridge Street, in wet conditions. It mounted the kerb and ploughed into the wall, leaving brickwork strewn across the pavement. The houses were empty at the time of the accident.
