A Lancashire teenager has been airlifted to hospital after being crushed when a fork lift truck toppled onto him in an accident at work.

The 16-year-old, from Blackburn, was left with serious chest and neck injuries after the incident at Blacksmiths’ yard, Austin Walmsley, at the Leachfield Industrial Estate, Garstang, near Preston.

He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital by the North West Air Ambulance, and remains in a serious condition.
